We're home

Our plane from Maui tried to land in Seattle but the fog was too thick. So we were diverted to Portland and had to to stay overnight. So we didn't get home till yesterday. A first in our travel history. 

We dropped by at the twins today to deliver their Hanukkah presents. Scooters with light up wheels. They loved them. That is Sam racing down the hallway.

Today was my follow-up with the surgeon's PA. She said everything looks great, I'm doing as expected, which prompted me to ask how long could I expect the healing to take? "Could take one to two years. Nerves heal very slowly," I knew it was a slow process but that was a shock.
