Red and Yellow

Was struck by the reds and yellows of the dying vine leaves matching the same colours inside. Not got the know-how to have the right exposure for both, but you get the idea.

Woke up to more fog, so decided to tackle sorting my clothes, which led to sorting my shelves, which led to scraping the flaking wall behind, which led to painting glue, then bleaching the bits of mould, then painting, and then the sun emerged, so hurried to do a wash, which needed hanging out, then bringing in again to finish drying over the wood burner.

(Was slightly shocked to hear from my sister in Florida yesterday that none of their neighbours hang their washing out, and think they are strange because they do. Have they not heard of saving energy??)

Gratefuls:
- Mike finishing the plastering, apart from touching up
- Deb FTing to show some of their presents, which included a flint and steel demo over the bedclothes (she always was a pyromaniac), and Allegra with her new skipping rope, which counts the skips!
- a finger of marzipanned fruit cake with our afternoon mug of tea
