On Harting Down

The day started fair and we were all in good order so, prompted by a New Year’s Day photo on Blip two years ago, decided to go up onto Harting Down for a walk.  It was mild and calm with no sign of the rain to come.  We did what we think of as the full circuit,  round Harting Down and this is the view from the Trig point watching the others down at the gate.  

It was lovely and a cause for celebration that Vikram managed to walk it having felt so weak most of this year.  

Went home and ate left over goose ragu that Vikram had been cooking for a delicious left overs lunch.  

Went to mum’s for a cup of tea and a slice of Stollen. Before a quiet night eating leftover curries and making a first attempt at watching Anatomy of a Fall.   It didn’t stand a chance really as we mainly fell asleep and went off to bed early.
