Today's blue skies reminded me of the song, particularly in one of the versions by the wonderful Holly Cole.  I can remember playing this full-volume in the car on the journey home from a horse-riding holiday with Ruth, when she was a young teenager, both of us singing along at equally full volume :-) Good memories.
