Shoestring Tie Clasp

I’m in Surfers for the day, visiting my mum, and arrived at her aged care home just in time for an Oldies But Goodies concert. Glen Campbell, Carole King, Tom Jones, Boney M… Bill was an engaging former club singer, 80-something, whose wife is one of the residents. He dressed the part in western shirt, string tie and black jeans. 

In the end there was no time for Home of the Arts or a quest for dumplings in Southport’s new Chinatown. (Think Craggy Island.)

It’s been a very long day, still not over.
