Mexican Train

A quiet morning cleaning and preparing for Mum & DAd’s visit. Not a lot to do, really, as it had all been done for other family earlier in the week but, in true Mrs Hinch style, we did a ‘Freshen Up Friday’. I decided to cook a turkey curry for dinner so I went to grab some ingredients at Waitrose just before 3pm.  Mum and Dad’s train was running a little late but around 3:15pm I got a message that they were on a train at Vauxhall. I tracked them using ‘Find My Friends’ and went out to the station as they were getting close Raynes Park. 

We had a lovely evening in. I didn’t want to spend the evening watching television, which could have been what we did. Before dinner I got out the dominoes and we played a few rounds. Dad won the most games. Then, I brought down Mexican Train dominoes.  I’d been given this as a present but never had the opportunity to play it. PY swatted-up on the rules and we played a few rounds. It was a lot of fun. I am not sure we had the rules quite right as, reading them again later, there is more complexity when playing a ‘doubles’ than we were playing.  We will get better.
