Catching a sunbeam…….
…….next to our table at breakfast.
We left by 10:30 am on a glorious morning. Clear blue skies and sunshine with mistiness across the fields.
On our way home we called to see some friends who have had a baby daughter. She is now 2 months old. I guess she will grow up to be trilingual, as her mum, Sara, is Chinese, and her dad, Philip, is Nepalese. We first met them at our church. Her Chinese grandparents were there, having come over to help out and enjoy their first grandchild,
They do not speak any English but made us so welcome, having prepared a lovely platter of orange segments on cocktail sticks, and chopped banana. Sara, the baby’s mum, had made some puff pastry small tarts filled with egg and cream. They were delicious!
Good to be home again now, after a really lovely two day break.
I’ll include some of today’s photos in extras.
