Preparations.

We had a good journey down to Bath today, fine weather with not too much sun in our faces but interesting skies. We actually arrived earlier than anticipated.

After a cuppa, Grace arrived home from work and we set off to first, pick up Jude from nursery  (Rising 3’s as she calls it)  and then Eda from her Explorers after school club. Jude had made a lantern for Chinese New Year and was pleased to show it to me but was a little sad she couldn’t bring it home till after the event at the weekend.

We had a yummy tea of salmon with roasted stuffed peppers and roasted cauliflower (the girls had green beans and broccoli with theirs) and then bath time.

I read the new book I’d brought down to Jude - Oliver Jeffers ‘The Moose Belongs to Me’ and then a ‘choose your own ending fairy tale’ book before coming down to see Eda finishing off her card for mummy’s birthday tomorrow and putting the finishing touches to the gf cake she has helped daddy to make.  I wonder if you can guess what it is? Eda’s idea!

Back upstairs to bed and I read Eda Roald Dahl’s ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ which I had brought for her. A bit long but we only had the one.
She is just getting into Roald Dahl. The drama group she has joined is putting on ‘Matilda’ at the Spring Bank holiday break and she will be in it, we’ll definitely be coming down for that.

Big day tomorrow with birthday cake for breakfast!
