Holly!

I was amazed and delighted to find that we have a whole young holly tree growing up where some of the forsythia has died off. I slightly disentangled it from the undergrowth. Must have been sown by a bird, don't know how long ago - but it would be hard to see in the summer with the wild rose climbing all over the place. Oh, I guess it can be part of the annual Joe Tree tribute!

In other news, I saw my first ladybird of the year (extra). She was well hunkered down, but lovely to see such a bright spot of colour amongst the weeds.
