Leyland Transport Museum .

Our final trip of the holiday and it was even better than I had hoped for , space for children to move around , vehicles to climb on and sit in . Plus a cosy cafe with an excellent selection of vegetarian and vegan food . The favourite vehicle was the Pope Mobile from the Pope’s visit in 1982. The children kept returning to it and climbing onboard. Jess and Freya had come along for the ride ( pun intended) too, so only Arthur was missing but we took him about a year ago . It was special to see the cousins together, he and Freya had tea with us on Wednesday so we had the four of them under our roof for a few hours .It felt sad to wave goodbye but the house will ring with the sounds of their merriment for a few days yet .
