Bay of Skaill

A bus to Sandwick and walk to west to Yesnaby, then north to the Bay of Skaill. A beautiful sunny day but the breeze from the south was quite chill. Birds included two hen harriers, fulmars and guillemots on the cliffs, whooper swans, ravens, various ducks. No spring migrant passerines yet though I kept an eye out for an early wheatear or whatever. The photo shows oystercatchers with a redshank and a sanderling in the background. The Neolithic village  of Skara Brae was behind me when I took this.
