Day at a Time

By Tweedy

Coquet

Coquet Island off the Northumberland coast.

J and I met in Amble yesterday. She had walked north and covered 24 kilometres whereas I had sat on two trains and a bus. Our house is fine though we don't plan to spend a lot of time in it. We went out for a meal last night and slept reasonably.

Today we walked from Amble to the lovely nature reserve at Hauxley and back again. It was sunny and bright the whole way. It was also stimulatingly breezy and quite hard work walking into the wind. There were some good birds at the reserve and a welcoming cafe.

When we returned to Amble we had a very late and fairly light lunch. We're back at the house now with our feet up before we go out again later.

It's been a gem of a day.
