Feeding frenzy

Yes, the squirrels are back despite Leo, the cat killing one.
Unfortunately, he has taken to sitting at the window watching them and they are oblivious to the murderous thoughts going through his scheming head.

While in the library I picked up a leaflet advertising the Virtual Village Hall run by the Royal Voluntary Service. Its free and operates on three platforms

YouTube: search for “virtual village hall

I checked out all three sites not knowing what to expect.  ( The Facebook site I found the most confusing.) The whole point of a village hall is that you get to meet people in real life. So how do you replicate that virtually?  Impossible because the technology is not at that stage yet. Instead, you get a series of free workshops. Some are live but most are pre-recorded hence you access them 24/7.

It’s an interesting concept but I shall not be cancelling my gym subscription, any time soon. Or swapping the great outdoors for the sofa.

Re yesterday’s blip on paying with a chip, Blipper Serious Frolic says that in Australia she heard of one man who got chipped with his transport card I.e. bus pass.
