Cuddly Toy Invasion

We were surprisingly busy this morning at Save the Children. I suspect that because the weather was so dire, people just wanted somewhere to shelter. We did get a huge donation of cuddly toys and I had to stop myself buying some for Mazgilchimp!
Mr P was home with the chap laying our new wooden floors (we had to take everything back out of the living room). However the wood was delayed and I arrived home just before he was due to lay it, only to find that instead of the lovely golden oak we’d ordered in the showroom, it was a sludgy brown shade. Several hours and many calls later, we’d agreed a swap with the company. We had to go back up to Leith and choose again but it won’t be delivered until next Wednesday, so we won’t be able to use our living room until the end of next week. Wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t have son no 1 and his girlfriend coming to stay for a long weekend tomorrow!
