Meat free?

We wonder if Hugo is thinking of turning vegan as this is the third time he has appeared with a tin of tofu in his mouth!
Our inter-linked smoke alarms having been giving us a bit of trouble the last few days, going off for no reason.
At 12.30a.m. this morning, they went off again, wakening us. Down the stairs I went to cancel them, then back to bed.
I was just dropping off to sleep when they started again! Nothing for it but to get the ladder out and take them down . I put them in a basin of water and put them in the outside shed.
I ordered a new (different) set. They are about a third of the price they were when we had to get them to comply with the law!
