What a Surprise!

We arrived home from Dunedin this afternoon and were greeted with a lot of noise that sounded like chainsaws but we weren’t sure where it was coming from.  ‘The Tuner’ suddenly spotted this sight.  The much hated, huge Sycamore over the fence, and its just as huge prickly neighbour, were being cut down!  What joy!  Not only will we have fewer Sycamore seedlings sprouting all over the garden but have a lot more light.
An extra of an attractive tree in the Mediterranean section of the Botanic Gardens yesterday.  The weather when we left Dunedin was miserable and now it is dreadful!
