Day 6 Camino. Road to Estella (21.6)

After yesterdays rain, it was a relief to find the weather cool but dry. We set of at 8am (it’s normally between 7.00 and 8.00 am) and had a very pleasant walk amongst rolling hills, fields filled with emerging crops, olive trees, vineyards and hundreds of wild flowers on the verges. After a bit of a climb, we came across the village of Cirauqui perched on a rocky hill. It was pretty as a picture postcard and I couldn’t resist taking a blip. We normally stop for a mid morning coffee and an occasional blether with some pilgrims. Its a very social scene with everybody swapping stories of where they’ve come from, where or how long they intend to go and why they are undertaking the Camino.
