Cultured Night Out

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny & The Mini Princesses,

Kitty Cat, Dee and I went to see a National Theatre live showing of Nye at the Dominion tonight.

It was excellent. Michael Sheen is brilliant as the founder of the NHS, Aneurin Bevan. The story is mainly told in flashbacks and hallucinations from Nye’s deathbed. It’s funny, trippy and surprisingly emotional.

NT live is brilliant. I feel so lucky to be able to see plays that I wouldn’t otherwise get to see. And The Dominion is much much comfier than most theatres. And you get Pringles and a little dish with chocolates! I’m normally of the opinion that people who eat crisps in the cinema should be shot but that’s mainly due to packet rustling rather than noisy crunching. I did wait until the interval…just in case there was another me in the audience!
