Golden Badgers

Each year Cumbria Wildlife Trust recognises people who have made an 'exceptional commitment to Cumbria's wildlife and the work of the Trust' by presenting them with a Golden Badger's Paw Award, and today I was thrilled to be one of those given a certificate and a small gold badge.  It was a day of talks and walks around the grounds of Brathay Hall in Ambleside, and we appropriately saw a badger snuffling his way across a nearby field in the afternoon sun.  Although I've done far less over the years than other volunteers, it is always nice to be appreciated!
