Conwy Parkrun and The Laundry

SATURDAY

A cool but sunny start to the day.

It was a bit of a toss-up as to choosing which parkrun to attend. In the end, I decided to drive 22 miles over to Conwy as it's several years since I last ran that course. It starts at at the RSPB reserve and follows the river and The Cob close to the castle and then alongside the estuary before heading back to the reserve. The paths are narrow and the start and first 500m was slow and congested. I finished with an official time of 28:04.

On the way home I stopped off at Colwyn Bay for a short run on the new section of promenade and also at Starbucks for a coffee and croissant.

This afternoon we visited The Laundry at Llanrhaedr, Denbigh where the garden and the all important tea shop was open to the public as part of the National Garden Scheme (see extras).  All profits are donated to charity.
