Dwarf Rhododendron

I love our rhododendrons and azaleas. Some of the colours are really vivid. I thought a close-up of the flowers on this dwarf rhododendron would do for today's blip. I've been growing this one for many years, around 25. It often flowers twice a year.
The only photos I took today were in the back garden as I was doing a bit in the garden this morning. This afternoon I haven't done much but I did plan the geocaching trip with friends, on Tuesday.
No rain again! Cold wind though, so needed to wrap up despite the sunshine. We've had lots of birds on the feeders today. the usual goldfinches, robins, great tits, sparrows, and of course, the ones that "hoover up" from the ground, eg blackbirds, wood pigeons, collared doves.
