Biennale Day 1

Today we attended the Venice Art Biennale. This year the 60th International Art Exhibition runs from April to November, 2024. It is on display in the Central Pavilion at Giardini and at the Arsenale, divided into two distinct sections. Today we did the Giardini area and tomorrow it will be a visit to the Arsenale.

The display that most grabbed my attention from a Blip photo point of view was that of Canada. It was simple, uncluttered and powerful. The Circle that I used as my main photo represents the overall theme of beads made in Canada. The first extra is taken near the Canadian circle, and shows 3 different facial expressions. The Australian and German displays also greatly impressed me.

Other Extras show the Main Pavilion, then a fabric artwork from France. Finally some canal reflections spotted on the way back home.
