Lakeland Model Village

What a lovely day; by far the warmest day of the year so far.  We took Eleanor to the model village at the Damson Dene Hotel in the Lyth Valley.  The models were made by Edward Robinson and feature iconic houses and cottages in Cumbria.  They used to be located at Flookborough but, after Edward Robinson retired, he could not continue to maintain them so the entire model village was moved to its new site at Damson Dene.

As it was Linda's birthday today we called in at Levens Kitchen for lunch before returning for a cool beer on the patio at home.
