A double first.

Today's blip was going to be the Camassia, which is almost past its best. As I got close to them, something red stood out. I took lots of pictures and it was only when I got them on the computer that I noticed a second insect on the very last photo. 
I've never seen either of them in the garden before. It's looking like a good year for Shield bugs. This one is a Parent Shield bug and I think the smaller one is a Birch Catkin Bug. Happy to be corrected on either of them.
