A Is For ... Anxiety?

No, amethyst. It was my daughter who made this lovely amethyst specimen look anxious. And she added little mining figures. Little did I know in 2009, when I gave her this piece as a flat-warming present, that she would take such liberties with it.

If I still had the shop I'd be selling a piece this size into 4 figures and she makes it look silly. Well, it makes her smile.

This is the first day of my alphabet challenge. Something to give me a bit of motivation. The trouble is, I can't stop with one thing. my brain is seeing A things all day long so I've included Alchemilla mollis, a spurge which I saw on a walk around Kat's estate today.

Can you believe we drove to Morningside to take one of my lenses to Kameratics and got there without it? Silly me! when we did get there with the lens it behaved perfectly but is now obsolete. Do I want to continue manually focussing or do I buy a new macro lens?

We had lunch in The Round Square, a small café serving hot ham and cheese in a  croissant. I've never had this before., it was lovely.
