Lots of Orange

We’re staying in the regional city of Orange, in the Central West of NSW, for two days. The city was not named for its autumn colours though, but for the Prince of Orange of the royal family of The Netherlands. For anyone interested, this link tells it all.  My main blip today is a collage of photos from around the town, including the botanic gardens.

The city also has lots of well-preserved historic buildings. The first extra shows the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall (1922), the Town Hall (1888) and Holy Trinity Anglican Church (1879). The second extra is the impressive Court House designed by Colonial Architect James Barnet (1883).

Later: The Orange Town Hall was designed by architect JJ Clarke - Wikipedia has some information.
