Again and Again

A powerful storm blew in during the night. My bedroom window was open and I was woken by the noise. I watched the lightening for a few minutes but then went back to sleeping.

When I woke again it had eased off and by the time it was starting to get light it was drizzle. I put on my running shoes and headed out, avoiding the fields and sticking to the more solid sea wall. The tide was in and there was one person swimming. Being outside first thing is good for my mental health. I want to get back into a more regular running routine too so I was pleased that I didn't let the drizzle put me off.

Many of my colleagues were working at polling stations and it was quiet in the office. Al was involved in checking in at a group of the stations and we squeezed in a lunchtime chat.
