A Very Wet Fly Orchid

… in the Orchids of Antagnes series. Interestingly these are not endangered, yet we have very few of them on the edges of our forests. As with the spider and bee orchids, they use scent to attract male wasps which pollinate the flowers as they attempt to mate with them. The scent released by the flowers mimics female sexual pheromones. Side view in extra.
