Sue's Birthday

And a splendid day it was. 

She had many loving greetings from family and friends. We went to an event for Mika Martinez's Soy Yo! project, and we met Cristina there (see extra). Cristina is wearing her sling with style, as only she can. Then I took Sue out to dinner at a very sweet little restaurant where, to celebrate a birthday, they bring a chicken candle to the table of the person being celebrated. We like this low-key acknowledgement.

Now Sue and I will be the same age for three months before, once again, I become older than she.

Update on student protest: police cleared the library and arrested a number of students, sadly on Sue's birthday (not that they knew). Our local public radio station posted a fairly balanced view of it all.
