Birdday

Together with Ron and Herman, I spent most of today in a bird watching hut. Great fun!

I left home around 06:15 to pick up Ron and a little while later at 07:00 we met up with Herman at a carpool parking near Vries.
Herman then drove us all to Twente, to the bird hut.

Onde there the waiting game began, although we didn't have to wait long. After we'd sprinkled seeds, and nuts and even tied up some chicken drumsticks on a tree, the birds came within minutes.

Soon a buzzard spent quite some time with the chicken, so lots of photo opportunities for all of us. I choose a 'simple' robin for my blip. This little guy came and went all day long.

In the extra section, I uploaded a hawfinch couple. This same moment has been blipped by both Herman and Ron.

Around 17:00, after about 700 photos, we left the hut and had dinner together at restaurant Van der Valk near Spier in Drenthe.
A delicious end of a very nice day.

Thanks guys!
