The Windy Post

I took the opportunity to get out to the other side of Dartmoor this morning. It looked like a nice day although there were a few spots of rain as I got closer to the car park at Pork Hill. What it did bring was a nice sky which worked very well for today's photos.

I walked down to the Grimstone and Sortridge Leat where this ancient cross stands. It's been there since the 15th century and marks the medieval route between the abbeys at Buckfast and Tavistock. For my blip, I've chosen a close up of the water from the leat rushing over the weir and I've added an extra which is a portrait version that I've converted to mono.
