Life is a Challenge!

A LATE BLIP - WELL LATE FOR ME ANYWAY!

It’s been a busy old day today, Slimming World at 8 o’clock this morning, when I got an award for losing my first stone!  It’s not always been easy, given that I don’t do that much exercise or walking now, but I am obviously doing the right thing - albeit slowly, but “slow and steady wins the race”, so I’m told!  It is a very supportive group, so it’s good for me, who is an encourager to be encouraged myself.

Then it was home and out for coffee at Jack’s, where this lizard is crawling up the wall in the Ladies toilet!  Brings back to my mind the fact that when we visited Singapore for our Silver Wedding anniversary, I actually saw one of these crawling up the wall in our friends’ loo and was petrified, but was assured it wouldn’t hurt me and of course, it didn’t, but I am not a lover of crawly things!

We then went grocery shopping, had a quick lunch and it was then out to meet a friend for coffee this afternoon - lots of nattering done - but no knitting - then home to cook our evening meal and message several other friends and chat with another.

Mr. HCB is watching a football match on the television and I am about to get under my electric throw, because it is ffff-freezing!  At this rate, we will need to make sure we take our winter woollies with us next weekend and my hot water bottle.

Hope you all have a great weekend - just to let you know that the  First Saturday in May has been designated - according to a friend from the Community Fridge - as World Wide Naked Gardening Day - ooh er - Watch this Space!!  ;-)
