Encore

Back to Scottish Ballet's Swan Lake with RB13 & her friend L. It was even more wonderful than last week. Really strong and emotional performances and the orchestra were brilliant.

There was one minor hiccup when one of the two principles slipped during a pas de deux but they were so in tune with each other they descended gracefully and got up together with complete composure.

The people behind us also lost their bag of maltesers and for a few seconds all you could hear was them rattling along the floor.

There was a young girl, still in school uniform, a few rows in front there with her father. She sat a doing arm movement in the pauses between acts- so lovely to see.

Earlier we enjoyed Thai street food at Soi 38 - very tasty.

My plan earlier was to walk to the Botanics, stopping in to see the HazelHs for coffee. Coffee turned into coffee, a visit to the Leith walk charity shops, lunch, more coffee and a lovely wave from Mummy HazelH as I was leaving.

I then went to the Botanics where I watched not a swan but a heron by the pond.

'S e latha math a bh' ann.
