Thunderbox

It has been a while since I Blipped a cludgie, so it is a relief (steady now) to put things right.

I had a Big Day Out in Glasgow again, but this time at a more cultured level than my occasional mini pub crawls with my cousin. Football was still the reason for the trip, but before the  evening game at The National Stadium, in the late afternoon I visited The Tenement House .

It is one of these cultural gems which I have always known about but never visited. I loved it. Apart from everything else, it was so evocative of my grandparents' flat in 1960s Aberdeen.

One Extra - the vintage toilet paper - was a slightly uncomfortable memory. Another Extra is the business sign of the flat's long time owner. Why were fittings not required? Were Glasgow women all the same size and shape? Were her dresses all the same size and shape?

One of history's wee conundrums...

The last Extra is the light fading at the stadium during the second half of the final game of the season. Spiders won. It was a tense and exciting ending to a tense and frustrating season.

I am glad I was there.
