GR221 Deia to Port de Sóller

We were one member missing today ! as she had decided to stay in Soller and rest. I was happy to volunteer to be back marker and had long periods of peace and quiet.

The collage shows the view from our room early morning, us all going down to Soller, irises at the lunch stop café, a tunnel of holm oak and a water drain in a house wall.

Elizabeth wanted a swim at the end so we went down to the beach. I just paddled, which my feet appreciated, and then we tried to catch the tram back to Soller town. Three trams were full, at which pointed we opted for a further miles walk to the terminus, hoping to be able to get on. The crowds were big but we managed to fight our way on and actually got a seat. A pleasant day, tomorrow's promises to be harder.

Edit: Tonight Elizabeth came on board with my walking lunch preparation, we shopped for fruit, a jar of cannelini beans, tomatoes and a red pepper. Luckily she has a plastic cutlery set and the knife coped okay with the pepper and tomato.
