And so it begins

The farm announced that they had started the first of their asparagus harvest for this year.
So at 9 am we were there as they opened & grabbed a few bunches that had been cut this morning. We then indulged in a veggie full English breakfast in their cafe. Just doing our bit to support local business obv, not greediness.
Back home I put a mist coat of paint on some bare plaster, then the asparagus was lightly roasted in pesto & eaten with lots of gusto.
That bit was greediness.
It may be a short season, but we try to make the most of it.
