Seasonal food.

We try and eat seasonal fruit and veg.
This is one of my favourite spring/ summer recipes.
‘Flambéed chicken with asparagus’.
The asparagus was English and from Norfolk.
To accompany the dish we had new potatoes from Rosudgeon, Cornwall. ( Just a mile or so from where we are staying next week)
The chicken came from East Yorkshire.
All bought at our local Pudsey farm shop.
I think it is a Mary Berry recipe cut out of The Good Good magazine about 15 years ago.

The afternoon spent in the garden. I have earthed up the potatoes for the second time.
They are certainly growing fast.
Several pots cleaned awaiting the summer bedding plants.
Although dull it felt quite mild.
Not too bad for a Bank Holiday Weekend.
