Wound up in Wexford

Straw for the strawberries

We've had some reasonable weather today.  W has been busy outside - creating supports for netting to protect the produce - the birds are nipping the tops off the baby spinach plants - and tidying the garden shed.  And he wanted to use the straw we had kept in the garage to create a bed for the strawberries.  Since I had still not found my ring, I decided to hunt through it once more.

We thought we had been quite thorough the first time, and I really thought it was unlikely to turn up, but it was a final attempt.  At least I had daylight, and I could sit down on the job.  And the straw had dried out a little.  I sat in the sun, just inside the open garage door, to provide some shelter from the gentle wind, and went through the straw, a small handful at a time, moving it from one bag to another.  And I found it - right at the bottom of the large bag.  Hooray!!  It's back on my finger, but maybe I need to consider getting it altered so it's less loose.
