Catching the light 10:00 am. 14C.

I’m currently sitting in the garden at the patio table wearing my sun hat for the first time.
When I came out here over an hour ago the air was still, the blue sky overhead with wispy white cloud trails, and hardly a sound.
No traffic noise. It’s Bank Holiday stillness before households start to spill out into their gardens, or take to the road.
I can hear church bells ringing.
The grass sparkling with dewdrops.
A big bumble bee has just flown by on his way..
There wasn’t a lot of birdsong at first but the bluetits, dunnocks, great tits and blackbird have all been intermittently doing their own thing.
I’ve been watching the coal tits coming and going to their nest.
The box faces north so as to protect it from the rigours of the sunshine.
I can feel the warmth as I sit just enjoying the total peace.
We’ve had our breakfast and coffee.
Feels like being on holiday. A gift of a day.
Hope you have sunshine today wherever you live. Our weather has been so topsy turvy.
