An unexpected delight

Didn’t expect to find these bluebell in the woods below Catbells. Thankfully the road wasn’t busy so I pulled over and took a few shots.

The morning weather was a bit grim so I didn’t go out until mid-afternoon. I was on my way down Borrowdale to see if I could hear a cuckoo but they can’t have arrived yet.
