Teasel

Another day in the office, though I was tempted to work from home. We were supposed to be having an away day – or away afternoon – but it was cancelled as events overtook us.  A colleague was meant to be coming into the office for his end year review with me, but he called in sick just as I was getting myself organised.  There were however a few of us in the office in the end, which was good.  I’m not really sure where the day went, but I did managed a quick wander at lunchtime to escape from my laptop.

We had a Divisional quiz this afternoon, which has been planned as part of the away day.  It was good fun, especially as a colleague and I almost won it, but we lost out on the tie breaker.   It was then back to work.

TT was cobbling some leftovers together for tea when I got home-  and they made a very good combination.  BB was nowhere to be seen, but appeared home  a bit later.  He had been to the physio at the rugby club and then to a meeting of the senior team – who he is planning to train with until he heads off to university.  The physio gave him very similar advice to the private physio he has been going to, and was free!  He’s been injured for about two months – and both have independently said that he should start some gentle training again.  That is good news, but I know that BB is worried that his hamstring will go again.

Later I popped out for some steps.

I mistimed leaving the office tonight, so had some time to kill before my bus.  I wandered into Old Calton Burial Ground.  This is the tomb of Robert Burn, an architect, not to be confused with Robert Burns the poet. Twelve surviving children begs the question, how many didn’t survive?
