Absent

My energy level is still low after last week, so I took things slow and easy today.

I finished one of my books (Blipped). I enjoyed it. I think one of her main characters - Börje Ström, a retired boxer - draws on Börje Salming who was a top ice hockey player of his era. Just a hunch, but there are parallels.

Ironically given the book's title, the hockey dad part of me felt I should have been in Dundee today to watch Junior playing in his team's end of season tournament. But then I had so many years hanging around ice arenas for those kind of events... Bracknell, Swindon, Newcastle, Sheffield... even Rīga a few years ago.

They did well - lost on penalties in the semi final to the tournament winners (Dundee Michelin).

Time to start another book now.
