First let me say for some reason this camera keeps changing the date every time the battery dies I think. The recorded date today is 1-1-2000 I have reset it several times since I started using this old camera. My other one stopped working altogether. It is driving me crazy.
We went to the creek to check on the baby geese and saw this Solitary Sandpiper wading in the high tide. This is not a shore bird we see in our marsh very often so it was a welcomed sight. You can see minnows splashing to the left. We did not find the geese then but hubby thinks he saw them in the marsh grass this evening. On a very very happy note the osprey have taken to the nest box and are building a nest with sticks and cut pampas grass! They may be tomorrows blip. A few more shots in the extras...
