Ancient Sea Port

Our daughter’s flight was delayed 4 hours. We had time to “kill” so we visited the ancient Roman port of Ostia Antica. Sea level has changed over the centuries and the water is now a couple of kilometers further. Now, the ancient seaport is a coastal park of it’s ruins. We had a lovely walk under the umbrella trees, trying to imagine the complex of building ruins as a busy seaport.
