Double Booked

I’m posting today’s blip slightly early, as I have book club later on and will need to have my tea at 5.30pm instead of half past six. After spending three days looking dreadful in old clothes and no makeup, it was a treat this morning to wash my hair and do the full works ready for this evening. I wasn’t planning on making a self portrait this morning, but had the idea to go all flower power (well I was a bit of a hippie in the late 70’s!) by doing a double-exposure edit in Snapseed with some pretty Cape Marguerite Daisies mixed in.

As it’s bed linen day, with two machine loads of washing and drying, re-making the bed, plus putting out the rubbish, I haven’t really had time to do any more sorting and clearing. I think it’s okay to have a break anyway after going through the emotional wringer over the weekend, and I have three big bags of stuff to put out ready for the bin men tomorrow.

When I get home from book club tonight, I’ll be starting the book for my other one in Buckinghamshire, which is now just over a fortnight away. I hope I can continue to join the girls there every 6 weeks or so after the flat is sold. We’ve kept going with it for 14 years now, and I would miss seeing them regularly for book chats and gossip. No chance of double booking, as the Bucks meeting is on a Friday and the Essex one is on Mondays.

Many thanks to Carolina for hosting the May Mono Monday challenges, with the optional theme today of ‘Double Exposure’.
