Open gardens

This morning F and I went round the three Open Gardens near my house, all in aid of the Save the Children charity.

Garden one had a plant sale (we both bought some) and a group of folk musicians playing (some of whom I play with at music sessions).

Garden two had tea and cake and a lovely shepherd's hut self catering accomodation for us to look at.

Garden three had lots of different areas for flowers, fruit and veg an this old stable.  There was also a Scottish piper (who lives in the village) playing.

All big beautiful gardens which must take so much work to keep them looking so good.

In the afternoon I workrd in the garden.  There were a lot of frogs in my little pond including small ones which must be this year's frogspawn. I accidently pulled out a dragonfly nymph with some pondweed but put it straight back in.
