McArthur’s Store

I was very congested and sinusy again this morning.  It was another grey and damp day.  We are in desperate need o0f some sunshine here on the east of Scotland.  I should have run, but I didn’t.  Instead, late morning I went out for a walk in an effort to clear my head.  I walked down by the river, and all was calm.  The two geese were huddled together in the vicinity of their nest, having lost their goslings, and the male swan – the trouble maker in all of this, was swimming away down the river, while the female swan continued to sit on her nest.  I wonder what will become of the four goslings that were rescued.

I came home and had a late breakfast of toast, and before I knew it, it was time for lunch.

After lunch  TT and I headed out for  a walk.  We had planned a walk, starting in West Barns, but there was no parking, so we just drove on to Dunbar, parked up and did our usual walk, along the cliffs, down by the harbour, along the east beach , back through the town and then round by Lauderdale Park and Winterfield Park.

TT made a Balti chicken pie for tea when we got back.  it was delicious.  I planned to watch something on TV, but couldn’t decide what to watch, then when I started to watch something I could hardly keep my eyes open, so I went to bed and couldn’t keep my eyes open to read.  The irony of this is that I then couldn’t get to sleep and it felt like I was awake for hours.

This boat was moored in Broadhaven, between the two harbours at Dunbar.  The building is McArthur’s Store, dating from the 18th century.
