Heading out to sea

We had a good journey down to our cottage near Portreath, detouring via Mawgan Porth for a rest on the beach, where we enjoyed the antics of a couple of little boys.  We didn’t see much of the sea, it was so far out.  We had to take the back roads around Newquay and Perranporth for the rest of the journey because part of the A30 is closed.  They’ve been working on it for years, but should be finished by summer.

You’ll be delighted to know my reading glasses were residing in the cool bag, undamaged.

I’ve had to crop this image close at the bottom because it was taken from our hotel room and the string of lights along the promenade were in the way.  Hopefully I can clone them out if any of the images I took are any good.
