Sculpt at ICC

The International Criminal Court was relocated in the city of Den Haag / The Hague, a few years ago and I now discovered its entrance has a big sculpt there.

Internet learned me the following about that sculpt: its creator is Navid Nuur (Irani by birth, living and working in Holland).
He's named his sculpt "The Gift" as he sees the ICC as a gift to international mankind... I do like his motivation for this name.

ICC knows very well the emotions of Relief and Victory, but also from Loss and Pain; that's all expressed in this piece of art, what's figuring salt crystals. And salt crystals refer to salty tears but also to salty waters; the seas and oceans what wash on the shorelines of all continents... all these thoughts the sculptor express in this work of his.
