Canal du Macc

Took a ride out on Biscuit this morning for a catch up & coffee with an old colleague. Setting off for home afterwards I remembered that this wasn't a million miles away from a nice spot on the Macclesfield Canal and so bimbled up along some quiet country lanes to find it.

Biscuit perched herself atop Bridge 15 and a conveniently comfy bench was found down below on the towpath for a nice natter with Ms.Arell in & out of the sunshine as the occasional passing clouds dictated. Despite the 'bloody geography' of 200+ miles I was informed that she was sat in her garden beneath a very similar warm sky.

Blip collage features top to bottom: an Aintree Beetle tiny narrow boat called Bluebird Two that sported a single rope fender at its bow rather than twin sponsons and travelling 323mph slower than Bluebird K7; a couple steering their narrowboat beneath the bridge and am imagining the one pointing is saying something constructive, like "DUCK!"; little Biscuit, with the towpath bridge in the background that crosses the small arm off the canal where a boatbuilding company, Braidbar Boats live.

After having a bite to eat back home, youngest, your Gal & Shadow walked to my parents for a cuppa. They were watching Man United on the television where at the ground some 10 miles away from here it was raining heavily! We walked back shortly afterwards and just about got back in time before everywhere got a good soaking!
